2017 Demo Reel

After graduating from Film at Sheridan College in the Media Arts program (2011), I had the privilege of working as Director of Photography on two feature films. Last Run premiered at the Sudbury Film Festival and Extraction Day was purchased and distributed by Millennium Films and released worldwide. My latest endeavours have been assuming the position of DOP on the CBC produced documentary Searching for Winnetou and Shut Him Down : Jordan Peterson

I am currently working on TV and Web shows, various documentaries. Past accolades include being nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Photography in a Factual Documentary.

Feel free to visit my filmography page for a complete list of projects I've worked on.

Tim Hutchison is part of the new breed of strong up-and-coming Directors of Photography. I recently worked with him on the documentary series ‘The Transgender Project’ and was very pleased with the results. On time, on budget, but most importantly always creative and looking to find the perfect shot. I look forward to working with him again.

— Matthew Ninaber, Director/ Producer at High Rise Studio
Tim has become an invaluable member of our team. His creative eye and strong work ethic makes every production better. He shines under direction, while also offering great suggestions that add to the stories we are telling. He gives 100% of his energy and creativity to the production, no matter what the subject. His upbeat personality is an added bonus, making him a fun, as well as professional, crew member.
